Being alongside Dr. Murman, Julie Pavelka, Colleen Hoarty, and Christina Usher, Esq., and hundreds of families walking an early-onset journey, reminded us that learning, crying, and feeling supported all matter.
We all wish for a “if this happens, do this” guide—but every journey is different. What we can do is strengthen our support system, grow our care team, and make sure that on the days we’re overwhelmed or wish we’d asked for more help, we have people and tools ready.
Life isn’t meant to be lived in reverse. All we can do is focus on today—showing up with the resources we have, reducing stress where we can, and preparing gently for the holidays ahead.
Thank you, Cassy and family, for honoring Mike’s memory by bringing us together in learning, vulnerability, and community. Your generosity created a day of education and connection that truly made a difference. Karla Frese, Home Care Partners
